Present tense
A violent corollary is useful
And evergreen
When the line you draw
Keeps shifting
Stronger than your medicine
Songs you thought had beauty
They pale like dead men
Slow kiss from black perfume
Titanics you won't beat me
Love your jealous lover
Become what you seek
Unmoving blues navigate this island
You marked me washed up
Fish up my drunk body
Lulled to a watery grave
I asked the waves who rolls the dead
All life has passed through you
All life remains kneeling in love
Remain kneeling in love

Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
Four new rowdy, impossibly catchy songs from this post-punk group who bridge rough-edged New Zealand-style pop with darker, steelier sounds. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 31, 2018
Rhythmic, low-end-heavy meditations influenced by funk, jazz, psych, French soundtracks, and—contrary to the LP's name—dub electronics. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 1, 2024
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
